Pregnancy Chiropractic in Kyle
Why Do I Need Chiropractic Care?
These same hormones make it easier and gentler to do the adjustment. Pain and discomfort, especially in the third trimester, are common. Our goal is to help you have a better, more comfortable pregnancy, with less pain.
Adjustment keeps the spine and pelvis in proper alignment, providing the baby with more room to move around and get into an optimal birthing position. Our moms tell us how much better and smoother labor and delivery are under chiropractic care.

As with any patient, our doctors will take the time to get to know you. We’ll discuss your medical history, including any past pregnancies, and what goals you have for this one. For example, did you have a C-section previously or if you want a natural birth?
We have specialty tables/equipment and prenatal pillows to help keep mom comfortable during treatment and allow her to lie face-down or in a side-lying position throughout the pregnancy.
Adjustments are much gentler, and we use many of our regular techniques. Two of our doctors are also Webster certified. There’s nothing strenuous about the treatment; we will only do what you’re comfortable with. Your baby is completely safe; at no time will the doctor touch the child.
Chiropractic adjustment relieves discomfort (back, pelvic, hip/sciatica, round ligament pulling, rib discomfort and more) as your body changes during pregnancy and prepares for labor and delivery. Making sure mom is comfortable and pain-free is good for her and the baby.
We personalize and adapt your care plan to you. We give you what you need, and what you can handle, for the best results. Frequency depends on the patient. If symptomatic at the start of treatment, we’ll see them more frequently. Once symptoms are alleviated, visits will reduce until late in the pregnancy.
At that time, our team will check you weekly or bi-weekly to ensure your body is in alignment as you prepare for labor. Dr. Browning has adjusted a mom who then went into labor and delivered the same day.
You will be given home exercises to perform, and the doctor will also teach you how to make your gym routine safer.
Receiving chiropractic care after delivery is important, given the sudden change in the body, and the birth trauma experienced. Labor can cause changes in the pelvis and abdominal muscles, leading to instability. Pregnancy hormones are still active in the mom’s body, allowing extra mobility in the joints.
